The Last of Us is an upcoming action-adventure survival horror video game by Naughty dog for the Playstation 3 video game console. The scheduled release is on June 14, 2013 and we are already taking pre-orders for this amazing and awaited game which will be selling for the price of €52.95 !

The game focuses on two survivors, Joel and the young Ellie. In fact, the player will be taking control of Joel while Ellie will be controlled by AI (artificial intelligence). The game involves gun fighting and melee combat as well as a cover system. The player will fight off the Infected - former humans - and the Survivors - humans that are not infected but who are hostile towards Joel and Ellie.

The band ManaTapu has been chosen to represent Malta in the Hard Rock Rising global competition. Public voting will open on the Hard Rock Malta Facebook page from Monday 22 April at 5pm - Wednesday 1st May at 10pm. Make sure to give them a helping hand by voting for them!

Earlier this year, Hard Rock International called on aspiring musicians around the globe to rock out for a chance at stardom through this year's GO Hard Rock Rising global battle of the bands competition and they responded.

Over 12,000 entries, 390,000 fan votes, and 941 competing bands later, ManaTapu is now one step closer to having their dream come true. Following several battle rounds against some of Malta's other top talent, ManaTapu will now move on to the global voting round and vie for the opportunity of a lifetime - a World Tour in six big cities arranged by Hard Rock International - including a spot on the bill at the Hard Rock Calling Festival in London; an album and music video produced through Hard Rock Records; and new music equipment and gear valued at $10,000!

Now, ManaTapu is calling on Malta fans to show their support. ManaTapu, along with 95 other winning bands from around the world who took the top spot in their respective city, will battle it out during the final online fan vote. Starting from the 22nd of April at 5pm CET, fans will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite band, while downloading free tracks from any band of their choice.

Grand Theft Auto V (shortened to GTA V) is an upcoming open world action-adventure video game being developed by Rockstar Games. This game will be the first major title in the GTA series since the last GTA was released in 2008.

It was exactly 12 years ago that sadly for many and joyfully for others, Microsoft announced that it had no plans to continue using Clippy.

Klikk Tourneys held yet another successful PS3 Fifa 2013 Tournament !

Last Saturday, more than 30 participants spent their afternoons challenging each other in very interesting and balanced Fifa 2013 matches. The tournament was organized and held at Klikk Computer Store in Birkirkara. Apart from participating in the tournament, players had the time to discuss the matches, analyze their performances and chat together in a friendly environment with refreshments being served on the house throughout the event.

As time passed by and some players started getting eliminated, the atmosphere started to get more tense with less shouting and talking which clearly meant maximum concentration for the remaining participants.

The tournament ended with a two-legged final tie between Christian Spiteri and Mark Magri. Christian Spiteri was declared the winner after winning both matches and thus recieved the €200 cash prize for his achievement. Both the 2nd and 3rd placed recieved €50 and €30 respectively in vouchers for their efforts.

In fact Microsoft was born exactly 38 years ago on the 4th of April 1975 after Paul Allen showed Bill Gates an issue of 'Popular Electronics' that inspired both Allen and Gates to develop an implementation of the programming language BASIC for the system.

Nowadays Microsoft has come a long way from 1975 to become one of the largest companies in the world with an estimated $41 billion in assets ! It is also the owner of networking giant 'Skype', search engine 'Bing' and gaming console 'Xbox' although it is mostly known for it's operating system 'Windows'.

Some rumblings from Daring Fireballall's John Gruber on a Branch thread this evening point to possible delays in iOS 7 and perhaps subsequently OS 10.9.

What I've heard: iOS 7 is running behind, and engineers have been pulled from OS X 10.9 to work on it.

As he points out, Apple had this problem/solution before. In 2007, Apple had to devote some Mac resources towards getting the iPhone out the door. The press statement at the time read:

iPhone contains the most sophisticated software ever shipped on a mobile device, and finishing it on time has not come without a price we had to borrow some key software engineering and QA resources from our Mac OS X team. As a result, we will not be able to release Leopard at our Worldwide Developers Conference in early June as planned. While Leopard's features will be complete by then, we cannot deliver the quality release that we and our customers expect from us.

However, the Wall Street Journal says:

Apple is also expected to ship the next version of its iOS mobile operating system around midyear, other people familiar with the matter have said.

MG Siegler adds:

Since we're talking whispers, the one thing I've heard multiple times now is about some sort of biometric scanner on the new iPhone. Perhaps not surprising given the AuthenTec buy - but surprised it would be this soon. Still, have heard it could be a big part of not only authentication, but payments of some sort (maybe even through Passbook) down the road. The most intriguing whisper: that Apple could charge a fee for devs to use it.

Gruber points out that Apple engineers carrying iOS have protective screens on them so it is hard to see the OS, something we've heard has been common practice for some time.
