Experience more than just a simulation with the Invicta S-Series T.H.O.R.P. II

Description

Overview
Equipped with the groundbreaking T.H.O.R.P. II hydraulic brake system, the S Series Pedals deliver an authentic race car braking feel while offering a wider range of adjustability that provides the possibility for up to 40% longer travel as well as reaching the 2nd second stage with less force applied.
The hydraulic brake system also enables immersive trail braking, providing precise control and seamless modulation for an authentic braking sensation.

And by accurately simulating real brake pressure and fluid dynamics, it delivers a consistent braking feel, helping you build and refine muscle memory. What sets the S-Series apart is the ability to adjust the distance between the throttle and brake by up to 400 mm, allowing for a fully customizable pedal setup. All adjustable parts are colored orange for quick and tool-free customization.

Features
Decide the Distance
The Invicta S-Series T.H.O.R.P. II give you full control over your setup, allowing you to adjust the distance between the throttle and brake by up to 400 mm. This flexibility lets you customize your rig to match your exact preferences – all with a single cable connection. If you demand complete freedom without compromising on quality, these pedals are the ultimate choice.

T.H.O.R.P.HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEM
Experience authentic hydraulic braking with a true two-stage brake feel and automotive grade pressure sensor for precise, consistent performance.

BUILT FOR EXTREME FORCE
Built to handle up to 200 kg pedal force and tested through more than 1,000,000 activations for long-term durability.

FULLY ADJUSTABLE SETUP
Adjust the distance between throttle and brake up to 400 mm for complete setup freedom and personalized cockpit positioning.

THE T.H.O.R.P. SYSTEM
The T.H.O.R.P. (Twin Hydraulic Opposing Rapid Pistons) System is Asetek Racing’s hydraulic brake cylinder which gives you the ultimate experience of driving a real racecar. The brake cylinder features an automotive grade pressure sensor, which makes it the closest you will come to an authentic brake experience in sim racing.

The functionality of the T.H.O.R.P. System is based on two stages – the soft stage and the hard stage – just like in a real race car.

The Soft Stage
REAL RACE CAR
When you apply pressure on the pedal, it will move 10-20 mm (measured on the pedal plate), while you build up pressure, while the caliper pistons are traveling to and pushing the brake pads against the brake disc, and to compensate for the small amount of play in all the mechanical parts on the pedal system that is required for them not to seize up.

T.H.O.R.P. SYSTEM
Since we do not have a brake disc, caliper and brake pads in a simulator, we designed the slave cylinder to replicate their function. It compresses an elastomer, creating a realistic sensation that closely simulates the feel of a real race car’s braking system.

When full pedal travel is obtained, the slave cylinder will hit a mechanical stop, just like in a real race as described above. We supply different elastomers to mimic different feelings of the “soft stage”, but the different elastomers will not change the pedal travel, only how much force that is needed to fully depress the pedal and engage the hard stage.

The Hard Stage
Real Race Car
When hydraulic pressure is built up, the brake pads are squeezing the discs hard and all mechanical play is compensated. In this stage, your foot is basically pressing against a wall, because now your muscles are pressing directly against the hydraulic forces (the brake fluid). Since the fluid cannot be compressed, you will feel the pedal is hard.

When a racecar driver complains about a “long” or a “soft” pedal, it is typically because there is air in the system, and since air CAN be compressed, the pedal will feel soft and long. The mechanics then bleed the brakes for air, meaning there is only fluid left in the system, and the pedal is once again hard after passing the “soft stage”.

T.H.O.R.P. SYSTEM
When the slave system is mechanically locked, you have 100% the same feeling as in a racecar, when the brake pads are fully pressed against the brake disc, and your muscles are pressing directly against the hydraulic forces.

This is not simulated, this is the same and identical feeling as in a racecar, and you can keep pressing the pedal up to a hydraulic pressure of 100 bar, which corresponds to 185 kg of pressure on the pedal plate – the same as a real F1 car.

HYDRAULIC PRECISION FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE
A hydraulic and hard brake pedal helps train your muscle memory to perfection.

Your subconscious will instinctively know the exact pressure to apply, freeing your conscious mind to focus on more critical tasks on the track.

Unlike position-based memory, which is difficult to perfect, your muscle memory is highly adept at memorizing pressure. This allows you to consistently apply the same braking force around a track, lap after lap.

A soft pedal simply can’t achieve this level of precision – especially when trail braking at a higher level.

Pushing Limits Since the start
The pedals are crafted to withstand immense force, with the brake pedal arm capable of handling 200 kg of force and a burst pressure of up to 700 kg.

With over 1,000,000 activation tests completed, these pedals exceed race car durability standards, allowing you to push your limits with confidence every time you hit the brake.

RACE IN EVERY CATEGORY
Unlock new racing categories with the Invicta Clutch System. Experience a slamming rebound and a true sense of engagement – just like the response from a real race car’s slave cylinder and clutch release bearing. Only compatible with Asetek Racing pedals – not as a stand-alone product.

THE SOFTWARE BEHIND YOUR SUCCESS
RaceHub is our central software for calibrating and adjusting Asetek Racing products to suit your exact needs.

Tailoring your hardware settings is crucial for achieving consistency in every performance, and that’s why RaceHub comes with an extensive list of features to help you achieve your goals in the simulator.

Effortlessly calibrate and adjust your throttle, brake, and clutch within seconds. All calibrations and adjustments are automatically saved in our EPROM (Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory), saving you time for future races.
